Since 2022 we have worked with every Iris Project prize winner, developing branding and websites, and providing training that equips young climate leaders. We assist them in communicating clearly, growing their audiences and securing support. Examples of supported projects include Sparsa, Liquify, Project Mila, Mudzi Cooking Project and Youth Pawa.

Change
The Iris Project wanted to remove the communications barriers young leaders face, and give every Iris Prize winner a solid platform for impact. Without a brand and digital presence, projects struggle to reach communities, attract funding and sustain their work. This programme provides that foundation and the practical skills to use it.
Makers
We assemble a bespoke team for each winner, typically including a brand designer, a content lead, a web designer and developer, and a trainer. The team is coordinated by an experienced project manager and adapts to local context, language and capacity needs.
Impact
To date, nine prize winners in nine countries have received support and training, gaining brands, template assets and websites they can manage themselves. The result is stronger communication with local communities, partners and funders, and a growing pipeline of youth-led climate action.

Having partnered with MakerChange Studio over the past three years, I can confidently say there is nothing they cannot do. No challenge, location, or situation is too difficult for them. They have an incredible capacity to create diverse, authentic, and visually stunning films, always prioritising collaboration with local filmmakers to ensure their work captures the true essence of each project. The projects we support consistently speak highly of their experience working with MakerChange Studio, praising the meaningful relationships formed with local filmmakers. MakerChange Studio is collaborative, are excellent communicators and an absolute pleasure to work with.
