Clean Air Fund wanted bold, compelling creative to showcase at COP30, designed to cut through a busy global summit environment and engage both external audiences and internal stakeholders.
MakerChange developed a bespoke look and feel for black carbon-focused photography assets, bringing together powerful imagery with clear Clean Air Fund branding, messaging and calls to action. Alongside the exhibition assets, we also created a short, social-first animated video to help communicate the urgency and opportunity around tackling black carbon.
Change
Black carbon is a complex and often invisible pollutant, typically discussed in technical or policy-heavy terms. The creative work needed to translate this complexity into something immediate, human and understandable. By combining striking photography with clear messaging and motion, the work reframed black carbon as both a climate and a health issue, grounded in lived experience as well as science.
Makers
The exhibition design and artwork were led by an experienced, climate-conscious designer who has partnered with MakerChange across multiple COP spaces, including the Children and Youth Pavilion, Business and Buildings Pavilion, and work for UNFCCC. Animation was delivered by a specialist social-first animator with deep experience creating engaging content for NGOs and advocacy organisations.
Impact
The photography exhibition reached a large and international audience at COP, engaging decision-makers, practitioners and partners in a highly visible global setting. The accompanying animated video and supporting creative extended the reach of the work beyond the exhibition space, allowing Clean Air Fund to engage internal teams and external stakeholders through social media.
