We created The Iris Project brand from scratch, including its visual identity, logo, colour palette, and design guidelines. The brand was then brought to life through a bespoke website that has grown over time into a central hub for the project. It now showcases films, photography, resources and news, with custom design elements that reflect the vibrancy of youth-led action. The website is accessible, user-friendly and flexible to support new initiatives as the project evolves.

Change
The Iris Project was launched to spotlight and support youth-led solutions to climate change. From the outset, the founders needed a strong brand and an engaging website that would reflect their mission, speak to young leaders and funders alike, and grow alongside the initiative. The challenge was to create an identity that was vibrant, professional and flexible, while also delivering a digital platform that could host resources, films and stories as the project scaled.
Makers
We built a team combining a senior brand designer with expertise in youth-focused, purpose-led design, a website designer and developer experienced in bespoke builds, and ongoing creative direction from MakerChange’s founders. Together, this team ensured consistency of brand and functionality while keeping the identity authentic and engaging for young audiences.
Impact
Since launch, the Iris Project has directed £718,000 in funding and support to youth-led action, including 28 projects across 21 countries. The website and brand have been central to amplifying this impact, helping youth leaders connect with funders, partners and global audiences. The site continues to provide a professional, scalable platform for showcasing their work and inspiring others to follow their lead.

Having partnered with MakerChange Studio over the past three years, I can confidently say there is nothing they cannot do. No challenge, location, or situation is too difficult for them. They have an incredible capacity to create diverse, authentic, and visually stunning films, always prioritising collaboration with local filmmakers to ensure their work captures the true essence of each project. The projects we support consistently speak highly of their experience working with MakerChange Studio, praising the meaningful relationships formed with local filmmakers. MakerChange Studio is collaborative, are excellent communicators and an absolute pleasure to work with.
