A network of creatives powering global change.
Our Story.
A creative network built to assist ambitious, purpose-led clients.
MakerChange Studio was founded by two women with a shared belief that purpose-led organisations deserve outstanding creative work without the overheads and excess of a traditional agency.
We’ve grown into a trusted creative partner for change-makers around the world, building campaigns and content to inform, inspire and provoke action.
Our network has delivered hundreds of projects for over 50 NGOs, government departments, think tanks, funds and movements working on today’s most urgent issues. From tackling climate change and promoting women’s rights, to challenging disinformation and building stronger, fairer communities – our network has made a difference through creativity.
Our Network
A model that gives our clients better results and better value.
We don’t believe in bloated agencies or rigid rosters. Instead, we’ve built a diverse, global network of creatives, including designers, writers, filmmakers, animators, website developers and more.
This model means our clients only pay for what they need. It also helps us move faster, work more flexibly, and keep our carbon footprint low.
We assemble a bespoke team for every brief, chosen for their skills and passion. Our creatives care deeply about the issues behind the work, and it shows in everything we produce. Our teams also reflect the audience you want to reach. If your project speaks to young climate leaders, your team will include people who live and breathe that world.

Ross Burley
Co-Founder, Centre for Information Resilience
The MakerChange Studio team has completely transformed our website. Our brief to them was to make our mission clear and our work easily understandable, actionable and openly accessible: and that's exactly what they've delivered. A great example of this is the interactive Vaccine Confidence Index map interface they designed to showcase the breadth of our data and allow researchers access to our insights. Throughout the design and development process the team brought expertise, enthusiasm and a thirst for problem solving. We couldn't be happier with the final product, and the fact that it was delivered at brilliant value for money is just the icing on the cake.
Prof. Heidi J. Larson, PhD
Co-Director of The Vaccine Confidence Project
I cannot recommend MakerChange Studio highly enough. In my years running comms for various organisations, I am yet to come across a digital team that can offer such creativity and professionalism in equal measure. Designing Paul’s digital brand identity required real thought, given that we work with business, government and civil society, all of whom are very different. The MC team are so good at taking a brief, helping you think it through, understanding whatever limits you have to contend with, and seeing the opportunities. And then they take all of that away, and come back with concrete ideas, beautiful content, and a collaborative process. Building the website was actually a pleasure, which I never thought I’d hear myself say about any website build. The support since has been just as good. We really consider them an extended part of our small team’s family.
Zena Creed
Former Director of Communications and Campaigns for Paul Polman
As a UK-based global charity, working with MakerChange Studio offered us a best-of-both-worlds solution when it came to telling local stories that illustrate some of the global safety challenges we work on. MC gave us the assurance and accessibility of an efficient and personable project management team based close to home, combined with a locally-led, non-extractive approach to the production itself. This made Freetown Floodfighters – a film telling the story of women on the front lines of flood resilience efforts in Sierra Leone’s capital – a far more authentic output as a result, and one that has been widely commended by our stakeholders, internally and externally. It represented exceptional value for money, compared with many other creative providers.

They are highly collaborative, and work with the utmost integrity – functioning more as in-house creative partners than a traditional advertising agency.
Hannah Dillon
Former Director, Zero Carbon Campaign and Iris Project
Having partnered with MakerChange Studio over the past three years, I can confidently say there is nothing they cannot do. No challenge, location, or situation is too difficult for them. They have an incredible capacity to create diverse, authentic, and visually stunning films, always prioritising collaboration with local filmmakers to ensure their work captures the true essence of each project. The projects we support consistently speak highly of their experience working with MakerChange Studio, praising the meaningful relationships formed with local filmmakers. MakerChange Studio is collaborative, are excellent communicators and an absolute pleasure to work with.
Millie Edwards
Director, Iris Project
I worked with MakerChange Studio on an 8-part, global interview series, highlighting the career of former Lloyd’s Register Foundation-funded graduates to the IMO’s International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI). The films celebrate the extraordinary impact these individuals have made on oceans safety in their home nations, and explore the unique challenges faced by those who work at sea and coastal communities in emerging maritime economies. Despite the complex brief, the team navigated the logistical difficulties with ease. From concept development through to delivery they were an absolute pleasure to work with, bringing a level of project management, technical expertise and strategic insight that I have rarely seen in other creative agencies. Their approach to storytelling perfectly aligns with our strategy as a charity, and I'm elated with the results.
